The book works on bass drum and snare first, because everything else sits on top of them. Variations, unwritten ostinatos, and exercises that get harder at the pace a student can take. The goal is a natural sense of rhythm that carries into any style.

It’s written for private lessons, as a shared roadmap for student and teacher, from the first strokes to advanced playing.
