Michel’s journey into the music performance industry was sparked by the impactful and inspirational performances he witnessed during his elementary school years. Enthralled by the captivating beauty and versatility of music across various genres, Michel seized every opportunity that came his way. After completing his music education in college, he diligently progressed from introductory and community gigs to prestigious opportunities throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
Having early exposure to international tours and elite festival performances, Michel developed a passionate determination to consistently evolve as both a lead artist and a supporting musician. Expanding his musical repertoire to include both acoustic and electric bass, Michel collaborated with drumming colleagues and mentors. As the bass player for the up-and-coming Caribbean sensation “Ocean Breeze,” Michel demonstrates that his musical groove extends beyond his drumming skills.
In addition to his life as a performing musician, Michel shares his expertise as a teacher and mentor with musicians of all ages within his daily reach. With plans in motion to perform in elementary schools across Rhode Island, Michel aspires to inspire others to recognize the profound power that music holds for both performers and listeners.
Michel made the decision to pursue a career in the music performance industry after being strongly influenced by multiple inspirational performances by professionals at his elementary school. Being so fully captured by the sheer beauty and cool of music from a multitude of genres, Michel seized every opportunity he could find. After going to college for music, Michel has worked his way up from introductory and community gigs to premier calls throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
Getting an early taste of international touring and elite festival performances, Michel has developed a drive to continue to grow as a lead-artist and supporting musician. Adding the acoustic and electric bass to his arsenal, Michel has began to work alongside many of his drumming colleagues and teachers/mentors. Notably as bass player for the brand new Caribbean sensation “Ocean Breeze“, Michel is showing the world that his groove goes beyond the boundaries of his drumming talent.
In addition to his life as a performing musician, Michel spreads his expertise as a teacher and mentor for musicians of all ages throughout his daily reachable radius. With plans in the works to perform in elementary schools throughout Rhode Island, Michel wants to inspire others to appreciate the power that music offers to both performers and listeners.
